Breaking news reached them, from James, about the sea defences built by Debbie, Eloise, Coran, Sam, Kyle and Jacob. 3 weeks ago these members built defences to protect the coast, however their designs had failed and were now no longer protecting the coast.
Concerned faces turned to distress as James delivered the news that the rest of the employees would have to make a decision about whether these children would be sacked or not...
The classroom turned into a meeting room as the debate began and all employees were reminded of important rules to follow whilst arguing their case. These included no shouting, no interrupting others and to raise your hand if you had something to say.
Sacking reasons included:
- that this was now a big danger to the public.
- that they had wasted a lot of Super Seashores money.
- and that the land would now be eroded.
Not sacking reasons included:
- that they were only 9 & 10 years old and desrved another chance.
- that everyone makes mistakes.
- and that if they were up for the sack this time, who's to say James and Jack won't contact them next week with more employees to sack!
All employees received a voting slip and made their choice. Many worried, anxious employees looked on as the votes were counted and verified.
The results of the vote will follow...
